Become a Mortgage Broker!

  1. To become a Mortgage Broker in Australia, complete an approved qualification such as Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40821).
  2. A Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (FNS50320) is not needed for licensing, but some employers may prefer brokers with this qualification.
  3. Apply for an Australian Credit Licence (ACL) through the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
  4. Join a professional association like FBAA or MFAA to connect with a mentor.
  5. The mentor will guide you through the first two years of your career as a Mortgage Broker.
